Greetings and Happy New Year! Thank you for this opportunity to inform you of a wonderful local community event happening on Sunday, February 13, 2011. New Sprouts will host our 4th annual Lunar New Year Celebration & Fundraising Dinner at The Lake Merritt United Methodist Church in Oakland from 4-6pm. This event is open to the public and we invite you to join us in an evening of festivities, food and fundraising.
New Sprouts is in its 4th year of Mandarin language instruction, including weekend and after school programs at several Oakland public and private schools, and a full time 4-week summer camp program. To learn more about our programs, please visit http://www.newsprouts.org.
We are currently seeking donations for our fundraising event. We respectfully request a donation in the cash or gift certificate amount of $40 or more to contribute to our school fundraiser. Donations of gifts and/or services are also accepted and will go towards our silent auction and/or raffle prizes.
We strive to continually improve upon our program, offering engaging curriculum and professionally trained teachers to keep our children motivated to learn. By providing a donation, you can help us in our efforts to raise the funds we need teacher training and better materials to create a better Mandarin program. New Sprouts directly benefits local students by providing an opportunity to learn a foreign language and a life skill they won’t forget.
In appreciation of your donation, you or your organization will be acknowledged in our event program flyer. New Sprouts is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization. Donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law (tax id# 94-2378219). To arrange for a pick up, please email jackie@cceanewsprouts.org, or call 510-469-3976.
Thank you for your time and consideration. We look forward to your support and we also hope to see you at our Chinese New Year Celebration!
Sincerely,
